The female Red Panda will give birth to one or four live cubs. When the Red Panda are born they are blind and will not start to open their eyes for about 18 days and when they are 40 days old their eyes would be fully open. The Red Panda mothers take care of their young for 12 weeks in the nest, bet will not be weaned till they are six to eight months old and they will not leave their mother until she has births more babies. The longest the Red Panda can live is eight to ten years but they are known to live as long as 15
